Progress on building works
Our first task in November was to advertise and select a new conservation architect to take this project to the next stage. Carl Andrews from Soul Architects was appointed to commence work at the beginning of January. Check out Carl and the rest of our team on the Church website http://tugby.org.uk/team
Carl is already busy scoping and organising for investigative works to the tower. Plans for building works will be drawn up between May and July and a proposal submitted to Heritage Lottery Fund for approval.
How can you help?
We would really like people to get involved in drawing up exciting and innovative plans to celebrate Tugby’s heritage. Several ideas have already been suggested:
Anglo-Saxon Encampment, eating, drinking, making merry the medieval way
Family Heritage Treasure Hunts,
Church Guided Tours, or offer to lead them
Medieval Craft Activities,
Bat Watching for Kids,
Annual lectures taking in subjects such as medieval archaeology
Try you hands at bell ringing
Organise a fundraising event
Take up training (free) to help manage our website
